Workers in western New Jersey are cutting down the tree that will herald the season at New York's Rockefeller Center. The 72-foot tall Norway spruce is on the grounds of Tree King nursery in Hamilton, which is owned by the Varanyak family.

Workers in western New Jersey are cutting down the tree that will herald the season at New York's Rockefeller Center.
The 72-foot tall Norway spruce is on the grounds of Tree King nursery in Hamilton, which is owned by the Varanyak family.
Rockefeller Center says the 8-ton tree will be raised by a crane, placed on a trailer and trucked into New York City. It will be erected over the ice rink on Friday.
