NYC Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of LI Teen

New York City police say a Brooklyn man is being held without bailĀ in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Long Island boy over the weekend.
Police say 33-year-old Scott Bruno fired a handgun inside his Bensonhurst apartment at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, and the bullet struck the boy in the head.
Seventeen-year-old Phillip Levy of Wantagh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Bruno and Levy knew each other.
Prosecutors say 33-year-old Scott Bruno appeared before a judge Monday, but did not enter a plea on manslaughter and weapons charges. He is due back in court on Friday.
Brooklyn prosecutorsĀ also say Bruno pleaded guilty in 2006 to a drunken driving charge.
He was represented by a Legal Aid attorney. A spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.
