Fashion-Forward 'Sex And The City' Gals Hit London

Big Apple Premiere Set For May 27, Nationwide May 30

NEW YORK (CBS) ― The 'Sex and the City' girls are back and if you think they couldn't top their fashion-forward sense of style, wait until you see Sara Jessica Parker's topper.

The actress, who plays fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw, showed up to the London Premiere wearing a bold, garden inspired Phillip Treacy hat that included two butterflies.

Parker paired that with a green, strapless dress by British designer Alexander McQueen. Her co-stars also wowed the crowd in a variety of styles and colors. Their fashion sense differs, but they all agree: the success of the HBO show has changed their lives, and they are excited with the way the movie has taken shape.

"Professionally it's been the best 10 years of my life. I wouldn't have wanted to have done it any differently with any different women or any different men. So it's been glorious," Parker said at the movie's London premier.

All were dressed in the designer clothes that made the series about sex and shopping such a huge fashion-industry hit. Cattrall wore a red Vivienne Westwood dress and Nixon was in a floor length black pleated Calvin Klein gown. Davis wore a more modest vintage fuschia dress.

There had been some controversy over the decision to hold the premiere in London rather than New York, the city showcased so beautifully in the series. But Nixon said Monday's premiere was just a build up to the main event in New York.

"We're having a kind of smallish premiere here (and) we're having a smallish premiere in Berlin. We're building to the New York premiere which is enormous and happens just before the film opens worldwide," she said.

All four stars denied unrest as well. Parke said: "We're delighted to be here."

Kim also had encouraging words: "London is my home from home and I've spent a lot of time here over the last few years. The fans are incredible. I have no problem with the premiere being held here."

The movie's Big Apple premiere is on May 27, and opens nationwide May 30.
