Hundreds upon hundreds of wanna-be stars, lined up in Chelsea for the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to land a role as an extra in the soon to be filmed "Sex and the City" sequel. Some of the hopefuls appeared right out of central casting.
"Oh my God. I'd be ecstatic, like, oh my God!" said Nancy Wennberg, Queens Village resident.
That's what brought out hundreds of stiletto-wearing, designer baring, visions of fashion fabulousness to a casting call for the upcoming "Sex and the City" sequel.
"I'm just fabulous. I'm fun. I'm fabulous. I'm in New York," said Monica Braggs, Los Angeles resident.
Legions of hopefuls turned out for the chance to be cast as an extra, one of the anonymous people you see in the background.
"There are no small parts, only small actors," laughed actress Amy Alonzo.
So are the producers looking for amazing thespian skills, method actors, extensive theater backgrounds in the extras? No.
"They're looking for model types: Asian types, Middle Eastern types, socialites," Alonzo said.
Both men and women were sought.
"I'm pretty much a natural fashionista, so I call myself the diva fashionista," said Tamara Bramble, Crown Heights resident.
When asked what he thought he'd bring to the role, Queens resident Gregory Alexander answered: "tattoos."
The movie starts production at the end of the summer.
