A Queens driver is charged with reckless endangerment following a van crash that killed two children and left three others hospitalized.
Police say 45-year-old Shelia Bethea was traveling northbound on Dunkirk Street in Saint Albans when her minivan crossed the yellow line and slammed into another minivan traveling in the opposite direction.
A 5-year-old girl died early Tuesday and a 15-year-old died Monday night at the scene.
It's the latest in a series of wrecks involving vehicles packed with children.
Witness Charnele Melvin said the van sped around a turn, striking another vehicle. The woman told Melvin she was driving the girls to a foster care office.
On Oct. 11, a crash on the Henry Hudson Parkway killed an 11-year-old and injured six other girls.
In July, a driver killed herself, four children and three men while going the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway.
