Woman Stabbed By Bicyclist; In Critical Condition

NEW YORK (AP) ― A New York City woman is in critical condition and police are searching for a man on a bicycle who stabbed her in the chest.

Police say the 37-year-old woman was attacked Sunday morning while walking with her 13-year-old daughter near the Queens side of the Queensborough Bridge.

The man apparently waited until an ambulance left the area before pouncing. The attack was caught on video and police are trying to get a description of the attacker.

The daughter, who wasn't harmed, says she didn't recognize the suspect.

The victim's husband and son are returning from a trip out of the country.
