46-Year-Old Man Found Shot To Death On S.I. Street

STATEN ISLAND (CBS) ― A 46-year-old Staten Island man was fatally shot on an Arden Heights street early Thursday morning, CBS 2 HD has learned.

According to police, the man was found just after 4:30 a.m. lying near the intersection of Arthur Kills Road and Aspen Knolls Way with a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was pronounced dead at Staten Island University Hospital.

The man was not immediately identified.

Due to NYPD activity on Arthur Kill Road, the MTA is rerouting the S74 and X17 buses.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
