NJ Teacher Charged In Sex With Middle School Boy
Lindsay Massaro, 23, Faces Sexual Assault, Child Endangerment Charges After Week-Long Relationship With Male Pupil
FRANKFORD, N.J. (AP) ―
The Sussex County prosecutor has charged a student teacher with having sexual relations with a middle school student.
Authorities say 23-year-old Lindsay Massaro taught at the Frankford School in Frankford, a community of 5,500 people about 50 miles northwest of Newark.
She faces sexual assault and child endangerment charges stemming from an alleged weeklong relationship with a male student.
Her attorney, James Porfido, says Massaro is traumatized by the charges and maintains her innocence.
Massaro, of Frankford, is a student at Centenary College in Hackettstown.
Frankford schools Superintendent Braden Hirsch says the school has cut ties with her.
Massaro was arrested Monday and released Tuesday after posting $75,000 bail.
