Man Wins Divorce From Angry Wife In YouTube Video
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
"I'm going bonkers," said Tricia Walsh Smith. "I'm going bonkers!" She's also going into deep debt because of her now ex-husband, millionaire and Broadway bigwig Philip Smith.
"He's got loads of money and he's basically throwing me out onto the street," she added.
The former actress and playwright was far from private about her feelings for her former husband, broadcasting their marital woes on YouTube. Her raging rants drew more than 3 million hits, and were viewed by the judge who granted Philip Smith a divorce on the grounds of cruel and inhumane treatment.
But Tricia Walsh Smith said she's not giving up. The self-proclaimed "warrior" will appeal the decision.
In contrast, Philip Smith said, "Obviously I'm very pleased with the decision of the judge, and very happy that it's over."
Tricia Walsh Smith's Opinion: "I think it totally sucks."
Walsh-Smith wanted the judge to throw out the couple's 1999 pre-nuptial agreement which will evict her from their Manhattan apartment and limits her to receive just $750,000 of her ex-husband's estimated $25 million estate. The judge decided the pre-nup stands. So what words would the ex-spouses exchange if given the chance?
"Good afternoon!"
"That's absolute rubbish."
The judge ruled that Walsh-Smith has to be out of this Park Ave apartment in 30 days.
As she pursues an appeal, Walsh-Smith said there's no telling if she'll pop up on YouTube again.
She does plan on writing a book, doing a TV movie and she's recording her song "Bonkers" at a studio in Chicago next week.
