Utility workers have shut down a reactor at the country's biggest nuclear power plant.
Officials at Arizona Public Service Company say a growing vibration in a coolant pipe led them to stop the reactor. It's one of three reactors at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
A spokesman for the utility says the unit can be restarted within two days. The official says coolant line is used only at low temperatures and low power when officials are shutting down the reactor.
He says possible fixes includ adding shock absorbers, installing weights or heating the line.
Problems have caused more than a dozen shutdowns at the plant about 50 miles west of downtown Phoenix.
