Knicks president and head coach Isiah Thomas may be planning to appeal this week's ruling in the federal sexual harrassment lawsuit, but thats not stopping one community leader from putting on the full court press.
Al Sharpton is threatening to demonstrate against Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks this season if Thomas does not apologize to all black women for harassing a former Knicks executive.
Thomas was convicted of sexual harassment against the Knicks' former vice president of marketing, Anucha Browne Sanders.
Sanders was awarded $11.6 million dollars for the harrassment and retaliatory termination. "What I did, I did for every working woman in America," she said.
Madison Square Garden will fork over $6 million for condoning a hostile work environment and $2.6 million for retaliation, while chairman James Dolan will pay $3 million.
Thomas, however, doesn't have to write a check, but says he will fight for his reputation. "I want to say this as loud as I possibly can. I'm innocent; I'm very innocent, and I did not do the things she accused me in that courtroom of doing," he said.
