2 Planes Clip Wings At Chicago's O'Hare Airport
No Injuries; Damage To Planes Being Assessed
CHICAGO (CBS) ―
Two Boeing 767's touched wingtips Wednesday at O'Hare Airport.
United Flight 950 from O'Hare to Washington Dulles touched Flight 909 that was headed from O'Hare to Denver at about 3:30 p.m.
According to United spokesperson Megan McCarthy, the accident occurred when one of the planes was moving towards the taxiway. The aircrafts touched shortly after pushback at an O'Hare gate.
United says no one was injured from the incident. The pilots from both planes returned to the gates. Passengers were returned to O'Hare and placed on new planes.
Damage to the planes is being accessed.
