Clinton Neighbors Shot

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. (AP) ― A husband and wife who live on the same cul-de-sac as former President Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton have been shot after being forced off the road.

Police say Carlos and Peggy Perez-Olivo were driving back to their home in Chappaqua, New York, from Manhattan Saturday night when a car cut in front of their SUV. A man with a gun got out, got into the SUV and struggled with Carlos Perez-Olivo.

Peggy Perez-Olivo was shot in the head. Her husband was shot in the abdomen but managed to drive to the hospital.

Police say they don't have a motive.

Carlos Perez-Olivo is a criminal defense attorney but he recently was disbarred for refusing to return unearned funds or retainers to clients. He's also been accused of incompetence. His wife is a teacher's assistant.
