Husband Of Bermuda Official Arrested In Pot Bust

ORANGE, N.J. (AP) ― Federal drug agents say they busted a drug ring in Orange that shipped $15 million worth of marijuana to Bermuda.

The husband of a member of the island's parliament is among two men arrested after agents seized 700 pounds of pot at a warehouse last week.

Court papers say Dennis "King" Pamplin and Brian Henry of Bloomfield had shipped 2,000 pounds of marijuana inside concrete columns from Port Newark since last summer.

Pamplin's wife, Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, is deputy leader of the United Bermuda Party. Court papers say he was found living in New Rochelle, N.Y., with a girlfriend.

His lawyer says the 58-year-old is innocent.
