NEW YORK (AP) ―

Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Park, Brooklyn is aglow with holiday lights tonight.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg flipped the switch on the landmark's holiday lighting in tonight's festive celebration, with music by the Fort Hamilton Marching Band and the All City High School Choir.

Mayor Bloomberg was joined in turning on the lights by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and students from the Brooklyn Music School.

Energy-efficient LED lights are being used to illuminate the Bailey Fountain and a tree underneath the Sailors and Soldiers' Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza. The lights will be shining through January 14, 2008.
