Poll: Corzine Approval Rating Climbs To 39 Percent
NEWARK (AP) ―
Governor Corzine's approval rating appears to have improved slightly, according to a new poll out today.
But the Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll also shows his approval rating still trails the level it reached before he introduced the now-scrapped toll raise plan at the start of the year.
Corzine's performance gets an approval from 39 percent of those surveyed, compared to the career-low mark of 34 percent in April.
Meanwhile, his disapproval rating declined to 46 percent, compared to 52 percent three months ago.
The governor's approval ratings are similar to those in polls taken last month by other organizations.
And his job rating surpassed the 27 percent afforded the Democrat-controlled Legislature.
