Clinton: 'The Middle Class Is Invisible' To Bush

New York Senator Takes Support Obama Show To Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton says it breaks her heart to see the U.S. in an economic crisis eight years after Democrats left the nation in sound fiscal shape.

Speaking to about 400 people in northeast Philadelphia, Clinton says that that voters concerned about the country's economy should support Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

The New York senator says that "the middle class is invisible" to President Bush. She says that "he doesn't see how hard it is to make ends meet."

Clinton's visit to the Jewish community center was the first of two area stops on Monday. She is scheduled to be at a rally in suburban Horsham in the afternoon.
