WCBS-TV Hires New 11pm Executive Producer
Lauren Petterson Joins CBS 2 HD From Fox News Channel
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Lauren Petterson has been named 11PM Executive Producer for WCBS-TV, effective Sept. 3, 2007. The announcement was made today by Peter Dunn, President and General Manager, WCBS-TV.
As Executive Producer, Petterson will oversee all editorial content, production and planning for CBS 2 News at 11PM weeknights. She will also interact with and manage anchors, reporters and production staff on a daily basis.
"Lauren has the newsroom experience and leadership skills we look for here at CBS 2," said David Friend, Vice President and News Director, WCBS-TV. "We are thrilled to welcome her to our production staff and look forward to what her creativity and editorial input will bring to our 11PM newscast."
Prior to WCBS-TV, Petterson worked at Fox News Channel as Senior Producer for the morning show "Fox and Friends." Before Fox News, Petterson served as Executive Producer for WB 11's "Morning News" in New York and served as Senior Broadcast Producer for the "Morning News" directly before that. No stranger to the WCBS-TV newsroom, Petterson served as a producer at CBS 2 News prior to WB 11, where she booked guests and produced news segments. Petterson started her career at WNYT/NewsChannel 13 in Albany, NY as a producer for their morning newscast and went on to work at such stations as News 12 Long Island and WNBC-TV.
Petterson graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Albany with a B.A. in communications. She currently resides in Manhattan.
