WCBSTV.com Shatters All Traffic Records In August

NEW YORK (CBS) ― WCBSTV.com solidified its position as the fastest growing TV news web site in the New York market, shattering all previous traffic records in the month of August with a remarkable 446 percent increase in page views and a 280 percent increase in unique visitors compared to August 2006.

WCBSTV.com also posted a 333 percent increase in page views year to date compared to January-August of 2006. As of early August, the web site had surpassed in 2007 the number of page views generated during the entire year of 2006. The month of August was also the ninth consecutive month of triple digit-percentage traffic growth for the web site, compared to the same months last year. WCBSTV.com has also shown an increase of 274 percent in page view traffic compared to its benchmark, which is the average of page views for the previous 12 months.
