Cops: Suspected Rapist Could Be Hiding In NYC

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Police are searching for a suspected rapist who could be hiding out in New York City.

Flaviano Quintero, who is also known as Hector Hernandez and Hector Quintero, is wanted in connection with two rapes that happened in the Dutchess County town of Pawling.

In both instances, the women were assaulted by a man who'd broken into their home. The first attack happened on Nov. 28, the second on Dec. 6.

Detectives believe Quintero left Dutchess County on Tuesday night via the Harlem Valley Railway line and arrived at Grand Central at 10:35 p.m.

Quintero, who turns 25 on Dec. 22 and bears a scar on his abdomen, has already been deported once and is currently living in the United States illegally.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call police at 1-845-452-0400.
