What's Worrying You? What Others Are Saying (2)

(CBS) CBS 2 has asked viewers what has them most concerned when it comes to surviving the financial crisis. We've been flooded with e-mails ever since and telling the stories of some of those who have responded. Here's a look at what others are saying when asked, "What's worrying you?"

WHAT'S WORRYING YOU? Page 1

I was born and raised here in the suburbs of New York. The prices of homes are so high that I don't think that I will ever be able to afford a home and live that American Dream.
-Pierre, West Haverstraw, NY

I am worried that this buyout will cause all of us that don't have credit card bills, invested long term, have a normal mortgage and lives paycheck to paycheck to pay higher taxes to bail out all those that bought more than they could afford and for the government who is irresponsible with their money.
-Elizabeth, Monroe, NY

Great. The people who stupidly bought houses they could not afford get bailed out by the Feds, while folks like myself, who did their homework and sat on the sidelines, and didn't buy houses we could not afford get absolutely nothing. And we continue to pay rent! The government bails out the morons and lets those who acted responsibly rot!
-Dave, Teaneck, NJ

The Wall Street BAIL OUT!!!! 1 Trillion dollars!??? Let the CEOs return their multimillion dollar salaries. Failure should not be rewarded. How are these firms going to be punished?!!! What about 'we, the people'?
-Barbara, Brooklyn

I am a 52-year-old single parent. I have $20K in credit card debt (out of work for 3 years), $45K in student loan debt (2 kids in college). I rent (never delusional enough to think I could handle a mortgage no matter how tempting the terms got) and my retirement portfolio sits with less than $30K. So you tell me, should I be worried?
-Beth, Bayport, NY

With the Billions of Dollars of Bailouts, I would like to know why people are not being punished for their decisions that put these companies in this position. Are they being fired? Or are they being allowed to continue to rake in their high saleries and pensions?
-Ronald, Waretown, NJ

Our homes, jobs buying food for our families. Not our savings there is none! Our future? I pray for our kids. It timr to weed out the top and hold them accountable for their actions. Let them pay for the trillions that they have created. They make the problems and then retire with fat wallets. No accountability! Where is the old America? Where everybody prospered and neighbors helped neighbors. When you gave extra at work you were rewarded. Now your give extra and they privetise your job and send you on your way. Its time for the rich to pay for a change! Greed has run this country for to long from the banks to the government!
-Pat, Warren, NJ

The cost of housing is way too high in the suburbs of NJ. Its unaffordable for a single parent, who gets no child support. Also I recently put $ into my Roth IRA to save for a down payment and of course lost a big percentage of that $4,000 deposit into my mutual funds/stocks.
-Carolyn, Fairfield, NJ
