Brett Favre's Career At A Glance

Legendary quarterback Brett Favre, one of the most beloved figure in Wisconsin sports history, was traded to the New York Jets on August 7, 2008. In his first and only year with the Jets, he led the team to a 9-7 record, just missing the playoffs after a late-season collapse. On February 11, 2009, reports surfaced that Favre would retire once again. Here's a look at his incredible career that has assured him a spot in the NFL Hall Of Fame.

A Gulfport, Miss., native, Favre became Southern Miss's starting quarterback in the third game of his freshman season. In September 1989, as a junior, he led the Golden Eagles to an upset of then-6th-ranked Florida State with a dramatic final drive.
