Carey, performing here in 1997, writes and produces most of her songs and has also done the same for numerous other artists over the years. In addition, her personal life was drawing a lot of attention due to her romantic ties with manager, Tommy Mottola, professional baseball player Derek Jeter, and later with singer Luis Miguel.
