Mississippi River Bridge Collapses

A freeway bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis collapsed Aug. 1, 2007, sending dozens of cars into the water.

Tons of concrete collapsed into the Mississippi RIver and several people were reported injured. Survivors were carried up the riverbank by rescue personnel at the scene.
