Paulo Szot was the winner of the Best Actor in a Musical award for his role in "Rogers & Hammerstein's South Pacific." The musical, which was directed by Bartlett Sher, also earned Best Direction in a Musical along with Best Scenic Design in a Musical. The design was done by Michael Yeargen.
