California's 1st Same-Sex Marriage

Del Martin, 87, and Phyllis Lyon, 84, became the first officially married same-sex couple after California's Supreme Court declared gay marriage legal. The lesbian couple'sĀ marriage ceremony and wedding reception were held at San Francisco City Hall on the evening of June 16, 2008.
