President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963, while
riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. President Kennedy was shot by
Lee Harvey Oswald, who fired from a sniper's next in Texas School Book
Depository. Oswald was later arrested at a Dallas movie theater, before
being shot and killed by Jack Ruby two days later. Here is a look back
at the life of one of the nation's most popular Presidents, and the day
that so many Americans will never forget.
