Martin Landau was born in Brooklyn and attended the famous Actors Studio in Manhattan. He even taught acting classes for a time -- one of his students was Jack Nicholson -- before landing primo acting roles for himself. His first major one was in Alfred Hitchcock's "North By Northwest." Landau won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for the 1994 film "Ed Wood."
