Plane Crashes Into Hudson River

U.S. Airways Flight 1549, an Airbus 320 traveling from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Charlotte, N.C., crashed into the Hudson River adjacent to Midtown Manhattan Jan. 15, 2009, after a flock of birds flew into its engines, disabling both. Miraculously, authorities said none of the about 150 souls aboard was killed.
