The Vice President found himself the butt of many a beltway joke after shooting a friend in the face while quail hunting in Texas. It was manna from heaven for late-night talk shows hosts and gave a boost to aging rock band Aerosmith, whose '90s ballad was reborn as "Cheney's Got A Gun."
