Tastings NYC: G'Vine Holiday Cocktail

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Tastings NYC, an annual culinary and wine festival, was held Nov. 7-9 in Midtown Manhattan, and wcbstv.com's Tara Lipinsky got a  sneak peek, or uh, should I say a sneak taste.

One of Junior Merino's Mixologists whipped up a holiday cocktail called the G'Vine just for us, and you can get a taste yourself.  Just join us at Pier 94!

Holiday Tip:  You can make a batch of these cocktails in advance, even the day before, so come party day no hard work necessary.

Ingredients:

·          G'vine Gin ·         Plymouth Sloe gin ·         Pom Pomegranate  juice ·         Monin Cranberry Syrup ·         Pasteurized Egg whites ·         Lime juice ·         Fee Brothers Rhubarb bitters Martini Glass

Mixing Glass

Shaker & Strainer

Ice

·         Fill the Martini Glass with ice and set aside to chill ·         In a mixing glass, pour the following: Mixing glasses are always 16 oz so there is no need to put it. o   1 ½ oz of G'Vine Gin o   ¾ oz of [Plymouth] Sloe Gin o   ¾ oz of [Pom] Pomegranate Juice o   ¾ oz of egg whites o   ¾ oz of lime juice o   ¾ oz Monin Cranberry Syrup o   3 dashes of Fee Brothers Rhubarb Bitters

·         After pouring all the ingredients in the mixing glass add ice and shake the mixture.  (You want to make sure to shake well to create a foamy texture) ·         Into a chilled Martini Glass pour the cocktail with a hawthorn strainer.  ·         Garnish with a fresh mint sprig
