Afternoon Shooting Leaves Harlem Residents Rattled
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
A peaceful mid-afternoon Sunday turned chaotic with an exchange of gunfire. Police say two gunmen aiming for each other sent two innocent bystanders to the hospital. Both victims will survive.
Rattled neighbors on St Nicholas Avenue say this is their worst nightmare.
"I walk down the street several times a day. It hurt. It makes me uneasy," Marin Conaughty told CBS 2 HD.
A few hours after the shooting, and just steps away from the crime scene, police apprehended a person of interest, who is being questioned at the precinct.
