Residents of a condo on West 72nd St. in Manhattan say a dangerous dog is allowed to roam free in their building, striking fear in almost everyone it meets.
Neighbors say 'Tyrus,' a female put bull, is allowed alone in the hallway by her owner.
That's when she allegedly terrorizes neighbors, chases tenants, and relieves herself in the halls. One resident says 'Tyrus' attacked her 4-pound Pomeranian named 'Pumpkin' -- nearly killing him.
'Pumpkin' ended up with one hundred stitches, and his owner Elisa Schindler, ended up with a $5,000 veterinarian bill.
"Eventually someone came out of the apartment, not the owner of the dog. He didn't say a word to us, didn't apologize," said Schindler. "He grabbed the dog, left my dog in a puddle of fur and blood and ran back into the apartment and shut the door."
The condo's board is suing the pit bull's owner for $90,000 in damages.
The owner of the pit bull says this is all an attempt to get him out of his rent controlled apartment.
