Some Tips To Get Prepared For Hurricane Season--Talk with your family about how vulnerable your home is to hurricanes and storms.
--Review your insurance policies to see what is covered under your plan.
--Determine the safest area or room in your home in case of a heavy storm.
--Figure out the best route out of town.
--Decide what to do with your pets if you need to evacuate.
--Stock up on emergency supplies including nonperishable food, batteries and water.
--If a storm looks like it might be approaching fill up the car with gas and get cash from the ATM, both of which might be affected by electricity outages.
