Former N.J. Gov. Jim McGreevey
Former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey's memoir 'The Confession' went on sale at midnight Tuesday morning, sparking more talk and controversy.
When James McGreevey uttered the words "I am a Gay American" just over two years ago at a press conference he ended an administration and became one of the most talked about politicians in the country.
Now, his tell-all memoir, "The Confession," divulges even more about cheating on his wife with another man, according to this week's issue of New York Magazine.
McGreevey had the alleged affair with Golan Cipel, he was the man appointed to head the state's Homeland Security Department.
"I'm more concerned about what his wife says it seems like he's capitalizing on his situation and hurting his family for personal gain," says New Jersey resident John Duggan of Westfield.
But not everyone is running to the bookstore to snatch up a copy of McGreevey's memoirs, especially not the Garden State's current governor, Democrat Jon Corzine, "When people try to enhance their economic interest by using their office it's a clear abuse and a breakdown of personal character."
McGreevey will make rounds on the t-v circuit and his final stop was suppposed to be at the Late Show with David Letterman where he was scheduled to present the Top Ten List Tuesday night, but he canceled.
