Helmsley's Funeral To Be Held Wednesday

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) ― Leona Helmsley's private funeral today will be at the same funeral home that memorialized Judy Garland and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The Frank E. Campbell funeral home has hosted luminaries from all walks of life, from Rocky Graziano, John Lennon to Henry Cabot Lodge, Notorious B.I.G. and George Balanchine.

When Kennedy Onassis died, Campbell's carried the former first lady's body from her home. When muppeteer Jim Henson was killed by a deadly virus, Campbell's handled the details. Jean Hogan Hickey, a former dancer at famed New York City nightclub the Copacabana, and Richard Conway Casey, the nation's first blind federal trial judge, were also memorialized at the chapel. So was Madame Chiang Kai-shek, Taiwan's most famous first lady.

Helmsley was the head of a multibillion dollar real estate empire. She will laid to rest inside a $1.4 million mausoleum at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, next to her beloved husband Harry.
