Newark Liberty Crew Get Patience Training
Workers Prepare For Holiday Travelers
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) ―
Employees at Newark Liberty International Airport are getting a dose of patience and politeness as they prepare to handle the crush of holiday travelers.
They're taking part Wednesday in a program called Resiliency Edge, that has already been used at JFK airport.
The program teaches airport employees how to handle stressed-out travelers, delays and security issues. It's an outgrowth of ''Reclaiming the Sky,'' a nonprofit group that supported aviation workers after the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Hundreds of airport workers are expected to participate in the training and travelers are welcome to watch.
