Outrage After Girl Is Left Behind On School Bus

3-Year-Old Was On Bus For 3 Hours

DIX HILLS, N.Y. (CBS) ― A three-year old girl was left alone on a private school bus for nearly three hours.

Her parents say their little girl is still recovering after the driver left her in the parking lot of a private school in Dix Hills in freezing temperatures.

"The teacher that found her, thank God, said she was crying for mommy and daddy," said Aimee Cody, the child's mother.
 
The school issued this statement: "While the child is safe, this is a very serious and unacceptable situation. The bus driver has been fired. This incident has been very upsetting to our school family."
