ACS: Ex-Wife Of Dead Dentist Follows Foster Parent

Dr. Borukhova Says Claim Is Untrue

QUEENS (AP) ― The ex-wife of a dentist shot dead in a playground amid a custody fight over their daughter is being accused of following the girl's foster parent.


The ex-wife, Dr. Mazoltuv Borukhova, is calling the allegation "ridiculous."


A representative for the city Administration for Children's Services told a Queens Family Court judge Tuesday that police believe they saw Borukhova's car tailing the foster parent after Borukhova visited with her 4-year-old daughter.


Borukhova's lawyer, Florence Fass, says her client "flat-out denies" the claim.


The girl was placed in foster care after the Oct. 28 killing of her father, Dr. Daniel Malakov.


A relative of Borukhova's by marriage, Mikhail Mallayev, has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge in the slaying. He has denied any involvement and said he knew nothing about it.
