Police: Man Fleeing Truck Killed By Another Driver

Suffolk County police arrested the driver on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Police said a Long Island man running from a truck that was chasing him has been hit and killed by another driver, who was high on drugs.
Suffolk County police said it's not clear who was following 42-year-old Timothy Broderick or why ar ound 3 a.m. Saturday in Huntington Station. Trying to get away from the pursuing pickup truck, he ran out on busy Route 25.
Police said a 19-year-old driver in a passing car wasn't able to stop in time to avoid hitting Broderick, who died at the scene. The pickup fled.
The driver who hit Broderick has been arrested on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs.
