Eliot Spitzer resigned disgracefully from office Wednesday morning following his involvement in a high-profile prostitution ring busted by federal authorities last week. A U.S. Attorney said the Democrat did not reach a plea deal with prosecutors leaving him open to being indicted.

With the resignation out of the way, should federal prosecutors now pursue charges against Spitzer, or should he be allowed to go quietly out of the public light without any further consequence?
