Foxy Brown: I Was Dragged Half-Naked From Shop

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) ― Rapper Foxy Brown says the only crime she is guilty of is being a young black woman.

She appeared Monday at a Brooklyn church to respond to her recent arrest at a Florida beauty supply shop.

Police say she spat on the shopkeeper and scuffled with officers in the parking lot.

But Brown says she was dragged half-naked out of the restroom and picked on by police because she's black.

The 27-year-old hip-hop star is facing up to a year in jail for violating her probation. She hit two manicurists with a cell phone in Chelsea in 2004.

She is currently in anger management classes.

Florida shopkeeper Hayssam Ghoneim says he asked Brown to come out of the restroom so that he could close the store but that she kept stalling. He says she spat on him and that the restroom door was open the entire time.

Police have charged Brown with resisting an officer and simple battery.

Foxy's real name is Inga Marchand.
