TRENTON (CBS) ― New Jersey was poised become the fourth state to grant at least an overwhelming majority of spousal-like benefits to same-sex couples Thursday, as state lawmakers sent a bill approving civil unions to Gov. John Corzine. The bill was introduced after the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled in October that same-sex couples were entitled to the same rights that heterosexual married couples receive.
