The last steel beam has been put in place in the New York Giants' and New York Jets' new stadium.
Owners of both teams signed the beam before it was hoisted by crane and installed at the top of the stadium Tuesday.
Construction on the $1.6 billion facility began in the summer of 2007.
The Giants and Jets, who co-own it, will play there beginning in 2010.
The new stadium will seat about 82,000 people and will feature
amenities such as wider concourses, more restrooms and easier access
than fans enjoy currently. It will also feature about 2,000 video
screens and individual monitors.
The old Giants Stadium, which sits next to the new building, will be torn down next year.
