Accident Forces Most GWB Inbound Lanes To Close
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
It's a real mess on the George Washington Bridge.
A tractor trailer carrying construction equipment was involved in an accident and spilled sheetrock on the bridge, initially forcing the closure of all inbound lanes.
Two lanes have since been reopened, and traffic is proceeding very slowly.
The Port Authority cleaned up most of the mess by early Tuesday evening.
Delays up to an hour are expected.
