Porn Star Jameson Shows Up On N.J. School TV

Parents Furious; Private Firm Hired To Find Culprit

by Andrew Kirtzman
UNION CITY, N.J. (CBS) ― Some eyebrows were raised at the Union City Board of Education recently. Officials discovered one or more employees have been watching pornography on school televisions.

Jenna Jameson is a world famous a porn star. Someone within the Union City School District is a big fan.

The school system recently received a $150 bill for use of pay-per-view porn channels.

"I think it's disgusting," one lady said.

Added another: "I mean who would be interested in watching porn anyway? Only a sick person."

Sick or not, someone watching a Board of Ed television screen ordered "Club Jenna TV" four times in five days.

At the Washington School, where education is the cornerstone of democracy parents were not amused.

"I teach my daughter good things," George Valasquez said. "I don't want her coming to school to be learning bad stuff here."

Fellow parent Pedro Fuentes was equally upset.

"I don't think that's educational," Fuentes said. "I don't think they should be wasting tax dollars on that."

The Board of Ed has hired a private firm to find out who watched all that x-rated video. There are about a dozen TVs in the school system where pay-per-view has been available. Some are inside schools; some are at Board of Ed headquarters.

As investigators try to hunt down the culprit or culprits, Cablevision has turned off the pay-per-view option at the board. So for whoever's been watching these videos, the party may soon be over.

Board of Ed officials refused to speak on camera. Off-camera, a spokesman said the board is "very upset" about the situation, and concerned it's brought ridicule to Union City's schools.
