Planning to get out to watch the fireworks Wednesday night? Here are some of the best places to watch.
There will be great views from Hunter's Point in Queens, Greepoint, Brooklyn, and anywhere with an unobstructed view of the East River between 23rd Street and 42nd Street.
The FDR Drive will be closed in both directions between Broad Street and the Brooklyn Bridge, and then again between Houston Street and 63rd Street, from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. for the Macys Fourth of July fireworks.
There will be no pedestrian viewing from the Queensboro, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges.
The Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges will remain open to help alleviate traffic, but do expect delays.
Also in Brooklyn expect local street closures in the Brooklyn Heights and Fulton sections.
Mass transit remains your best bet in and out of the city for tonight's fireworks display.
Trains remain on a holiday schedule with extra trains between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
