Where Did Tri-State Residents Smell The Gas?
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
A strange odor was reported across Manhattan Monday morning. The Office Of Emergency Management says all agencies are checking out the unknown natural gas odor, which stretches from lower Manhattan to Midtown. Here are some locations where New Yorkers reported the strong smell:
46th and Park

Hoboken, NJ near Wallace Primary School on Clinton Street between 9th and 7th street

I smell it in my building on 6th avenue between 44th & 45th streets.

Very strong in the subways from Penn to Midtown - not a natural gas smell - more like a creosote/gaseous smell - can smell even inside buildings in midtown.

The smell is extremely strong in Hoboken, NJ since 9am at least. My boss said he was smelling it eastbound on 495 heading towards the Lincoln tunnel.
