A pregnant NYC traffic agent was killed on Aug. 14 after being struck by a school bus and a van. Her baby, however, was saved.

A day after welcoming his miracle baby into the world, Rafael Sanz came home, and lashed out at the driver who unintentionally took the life of his wife.
"I hope that guy rots in hell," he answered when asked what's going through his mind.
Walter Walker, 72, was driving a van when he plowed into the seven-month pregnant Donnette Sanz who was crossing the street.
John Dargan told CBS 2 HD Walker "was crying just like a baby. He said Lord I killed that woman,"
Dargon said Walker could do little to avoid the tragedy because the van's breaks malfunctioned.
"You know that's a hill coming down. He said oh lord I ain't got no breaks and I said lord we're gonna get killed."
The van pushed the 33-year-old Sanz into the path of a school bus, which then flipped on top of her. That's when two dozen onlookers joined together to lift the bus so the traffic agent could be pulled out.
Sanz was rushed to a trauma room in St. Barnabas Hospital where doctors, racing against time, performed an emergency delivery.
"The challenge is taking care of two patients - is taking care of the mother and trying to get the best outcome for the mother and taking care of the baby," said Dr. Mark Rosing.
The baby survived but his mother died a few hours later. And as a baby now faces a lifetime of birthdays remembering his mother's death, a dazed and devastated father wonders what he'll do.
"My baby is alright. My wife is gone and I love her very much," Sanz said.
