Giuliani Offers Stance On Gun Control In Georgia

SAVANNAH, Ga. (CBS/AP) ― Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, who supported gun control as New York mayor, told a Southern audience that he supports the constitutional right to bear arms.

During a town-hall style meeting in Savannah, Georgia, Giuliani answered questions, including on the issue of gun rights.

Giuliani said that it didn't matter if he believed in it or not, although he said he did, and that the Second Amendment gives Americans an individual right to bear arms.

The former mayor earned a reputation for strictly enforcing gun laws while New York mayor.
